Weyburn Artistic Swimming Club

Weyburn Artistic Swimming Board of Directors and Coaches have been working hard to get our upcoming season planned.  We are following directions from our provincial and national governing bodies, SAS & CAS, and adopting their Return to Swim plan.  This is a comprehensive plan that our Head Coach Tracey spent much of her summer heavily involved in so that not only we are able to have a swim season, but that the plan in place is safe and consistent across the province.
This season is going to look different than most and there are still many unknowns, but we are going to keep the safety of our athletes and coaches as our utmost priority.  We are taking this time to go back to basics, dedicating our focus heavily on our figures, flexibility and fitness.  There will not be any routine element unless things change in the New Year.  The annual figure meet in November will be virtual and at this time we do not have any information on the rest of the competitions, we are speculating that they may be virtual as well.

More info to come!

We asked our swimmers why they love Synchro
And our Coaches too!

To me Synchro means family.  I started this sport with my Mom and Sister 18 years ago and we are still at it today.  I swam because it made me strong, and built relationships with my teammates that i still have today.  And there is nothing like being in the water!  Now as a coach it means building the confidence and skill in my swimmers every practice. - Coach Meagan

I love Synchro because it is unique and most people do not know much about it.  You become so close with your teammates and even the coaching team is a family.  And who doesn't like spending their winter months inside warm toasty pools! - Coach Kim

I started it just because I loved to swim.  I grew to love the sport as I swam for 9 years.  It's a unique sport that seems to be underestimated and I love being a part of it.  I like showing people the beauty of it.  When I see a good Synchro routine, I still get chills because I know how hard it is to pull off an effortless looking routine. - Coach Jasmine

Synchro has been a fantastic sport for me for 18 years!  It allowed me to be involved with my 2 daughters as a coach when they were athletes and now we work side by side as coaches.  In Synch for Life - LOVE IT! - Head Coach Tracey
